Fiber & Optical-deployment
The Safaricom FTTH & FTTS Expansion Project focuses on accelerating last-mile fibre connectivity and strengthening metro infrastructure across key regions. The project includes the deployment of Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) to 8,000 residential units, delivering high-speed internet access to households, and the rollout of 200 km of Fibre-to-the-Street (FTTS) routes to enhance network distribution and future-proof service capacity.
Sapashe executed the end-to-end project lifecycle, including route design, surveys, wayleave acquisition, civil works, cable laying, splicing, OTDR testing, and final commissioning. The expanded network provides increased reliability, higher bandwidth availability, and improved access to digital services for thousands of Safaricom customers.
This deployment supports Safaricom’s mission to connect more homes, empower digital lifestyles, and strengthen the infrastructure needed for smart-home solutions, cloud services, and next-generation broadband delivery.
